Christopher Tucker, AIA
Owner & Principal
Prior to starting MODE4 Architecture, PLLC, Chris enjoyed nearly fifteen years working with the nationally award-winning design firms of Moore Architects and Cunningham/Quill Architects. Chris graduated from the University of Maryland, School of Architecture in 2001 with a Master's Degree in Architecture, and prior to that he received his BA in Architectural Studies from the University of New Haven. Chris lives with his wife, two daughters, and two pups in the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria, VA, just a short scooter ride to the Old Town studio. When Chris has a chance to step away from the studio, he enjoys both mountain and road biking, hiking, golf, and tipping back a chilled “NEIPA” with good friends and family. He grew up in New England and returns to see family and friends in Connecticut, New Paltz, NY, and Jamestown, RI as often as possible.
JOHN HERRINGTON
Project Manager
John Herrington has been practicing Architecture since 2005 with a degree from Carnegie Mellon University. Early in his career John was associated with David M. Schwarz Architects working on cultural facilities and mixed-use projects around the country. During 12 years at Bonstra |Haresign Architects, he focused on affordable multifamily projects, renovations of aging existing multifamily buildings, and infill revitalization of the urban fabric through infill development. Throughout his career he has honed his ability to develop details and construction drawings, as well as move projects through permitting and construction administration. He has been a licensed Architect since 2017 and regularly participates in AIA|DC events. John is a resident of the Shaw neighborhood in DC, enjoys biking, hiking, and spending time with his growing family.
Damien Williams
Sr. Architectural Associate - Designer & Studio Manager
Damien graduated from the University of New Mexico with both his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science degrees in Architecture. After graduation, Damien gained experience in exhibition design, retail design, as well as residential and commercial architectural design in Albuquerque, Minneapolis/Saint Paul, and New Orleans. Damien is fluent with AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros3D, Grasshopper3D, V-Ray and the Adobe Suite. In his spare time, Damien enjoys exercising, urban exploring, playing the piano, and spending time with his growing family. Damien is working towards professional licensure in Architecture.
Kenneth López
Sr. Architectural Associate - Designer
Kenneth has worked in NYC as an Architectural Professional where he has gained experience working in hospitality, commercial, residential, and corporate projects. Before his US experience, he formed part of various teams with projects in the Dominican Republic, Turks and Caicos, and Haiti. His experience abroad covers a range of different typologies, from social housing, K-12 Schools, high-end custom homes, and institutional projects. Kenneth graduated from the PUCMM - Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic with a Bachelor of Architecture - BArch, EESA-NCARB Accredited Program. In his spare time, Kenneth enjoys indoor gardening, hiking, exploring local architecture, and spending time with his partner and new puppy. He is actively pursuing his architectural license through NCARB’s Architectural Experience Program (AXP).
Sul-Gee
Architectural Associate - Designer
Sul Gee has been working with MODE4 since 2018. Sul Gee graduated from Pratt Institute with a Bachelors in Architecture. Sul Gee has experience with a wide range of residential and commercial projects. Sul Gee loves designing, and has an affinity for interior design and space planning. She is an expert in AutoCAD, 3D modeling, Rhino+V-ray Rendering, Adobe PhotoShop, and Adobe Illustrator. Sul Gee has a young family keeping her busy when she has a chance to step outside of the architecture world. Sul Gee is working toward her professional licensing.
John Thomas Lavia
Architectural Associate
J.T. graduated from Wake Forest University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Studio Art. J.T. recently received his M. Arch from the University of Florida in December of 2023. J.T. has gained experience in both commercial and residential projects while working in Gainesville, Florida, and Seattle, Washington. When J.T. is back in Florida he enjoys inshore saltwater fishing, but he loves to bike, hike, and camp wherever he is.
Anahita Nazerieh
Architectural Associate
Anahita graduated with a Master of Architecture from Virginia Tech in 2024. With a strong passion for the arts and a solid technical background, she seamlessly blends aesthetic vision with technical expertise to design functional, beautiful, and expressive spaces. Anahita has experience working on both single-family homes and multi-family buildings.
Carey Christie
Comptroller
Carey is our comptroller managing accounting for both our customers and vendors, as well as data collection and project tracking for all of our projects. She has worked in accounting in the construction field for over 18 years with experience with both residential and commercial projects. Carey enjoys spending time with her family and playing board games with friends. Carey has been with MODE4 since 2017.
